The Earthquake in Japan

When I got a reply from Takuya and Hiroki ,I was engulfed by a strange sort of calm ,but at the same time it totally broke my heart to see my friends go through such things . As I'm sure you all know by now , Japan was hit by a 8.9 magnitude earthquake , though this has happened I'm just thankful that no one I know was hurt .

Being honest with you guys , I've never been the kind to bother to make an effort to keep in touch with anyone . And I have lost contact with them and everyone else, until the tragedy happened recently.

I was watching the news , seeing how the tsunami swept away homes and cars away , and then my mind suddenly drifted to them . My friends and I were only in Japan just less than 3 years ago for the exchange programme and now this tragedy has happened.

What if this happened to someone I know or happened to anyone of us the next morning? No one saw this coming , and yet it just happened . It's funny how we take things for granted until something hits you hard in the head , and then often when you realise , it's too late .

Although , Kyoto wasn't effected , but the people all over Japan must still be terrified after what had happened and I know it must be hard for the people affected to gain their lifes back .

Also, it is times like this that makes me question the humanity of some people especially after watching this video.

Now , for someone of such prominence in the country to make a comment like that really disgusts me .

But anyway to end this post ,as cliche as this may sound, this tragedy really opened up my eyes , and I will always remind myself to never take anything for granted and just try to be happy and positive as much as I can no matter what the circumstances .

Women of Malaysia Photoshoot- Behind the Scenes

So here's the update that I promised you yesterday .The photoshoot was for Women of Malaysia and was taken in Candid Photography Studio in Phileo Damansara .

So here are some of the behind the scenes shots :

This is Shafiqah , the Editor and Chief . When I first heard her voice over the phone i imagined her to be much older than she really is . I thought she would be a woman like Glenn Close from the Devil Wears Prada. But to my surprise, here came sweet little petite Shafiqah when I arrived.

I don't have to tell you who she is lah hor..
With model Kim Low.

Ok . So the photos you see from here onwards are credited to the girls from dovey-lovey .

They own an online boutique and have such a knack when it comes to clothes .I had to refrain myself from buying everything I see in there .

And all the clothes you see in the shoot , from the one that's on me , Amber Chia ,Kim Low and the rest of the girls, are from them .

So do check them out at dovey-lovey .

E-Jia,Me, Katherinne and Chaoyen.

Of Being Banana And Learning Mandarin

Because I'm in my room sulking whilst loosing ideas on what to do next ,I am here instead, blogging on a Friday night . I was suppose to go out with my boyfriend but he just had to be too tired to layan me cause he's old and lazy like that . Ha !

On another note, dating a China boy had changed me quite conspicuously especially when it comes to how often i randomly blurt a few Mandarin phrases now and then. Just like how much of an impact I've changed the way he speak in terms of having a Malaysian slang even though he used to speak English with a British slang after being in the U.K for 8 years .

These days however, he sounds alien to me . Neither here or there.

As for me , my Mandarin improved .
And just recently he purchased this Mandarin phrasebook for me to study during the holidays . -_-

Poor guy.... Must be so tired of translating for me and his mother.

Updated :Just came home from dinner with the boyfie ! I managed to go out with him after all .Plus he even bought me durians ! <3>

Dear 2011

I don't need magic or some fancy miracle to happen this year . Nor do I have a resolution cause I never stick to them anyway .

However , I do know that I want to be happy . That means the simplest things like reading good books , dancing like no one's watching , kissing someone I love and just doing what I love .

So with that, all I have to say , is thank you in every way , for the journey and adventures coming my way .

Love,
Me
