When I got a reply from Takuya and Hiroki ,I was engulfed by a strange sort of calm ,but at the same time it totally broke my heart to see my friends go through such things . As I'm sure you all know by now , Japan was hit by a 8.9 magnitude earthquake , though this has happened I'm just thankful that no one I know was hurt .
Being honest with you guys , I've never been the kind to bother to make an effort to keep in touch with anyone . And I have lost contact with them and everyone else, until the tragedy happened recently.
I was watching the news , seeing how the tsunami swept away homes and cars away , and then my mind suddenly drifted to them . My friends and I were only in Japan just less than 3 years ago for the exchange programme and now this tragedy has happened.
What if this happened to someone I know or happened to anyone of us the next morning? No one saw this coming , and yet it just happened . It's funny how we take things for granted until something hits you hard in the head , and then often when you realise , it's too late .

Also, it is times like this that makes me question the humanity of some people especially after watching this video.
Now , for someone of such prominence in the country to make a comment like that really disgusts me .
But anyway to end this post ,as cliche as this may sound, this tragedy really opened up my eyes , and I will always remind myself to never take anything for granted and just try to be happy and positive as much as I can no matter what the circumstances .
